Hydraulic Chain Hoists

Quick Ref: CN-1185
Commonly used in extreme working environments, especially those where there is already a suitable existing hydraulic line.

Hydraulic chain hoists share many features with pneumatic hoists, with the key difference being their power source: hydraulic oil instead of compressed air. One of the major benefits of hydraulic lifting chain hoists, much like their pneumatic counterparts, is their 100% duty cycle. This means they are designed for continuous operation, making them ideal for production settings. Additionally, these hoists can handle long lifting heights without the risk of overheating, which often occurs in electric motors.

Hydraulic chain hoists can be equipped with variable lifting speeds; the more the operator presses the button, the more hydraulic fluid is released through the valve, allowing for faster raising or lowering. Since they do not rely on electrical power, hydraulic hoists are particularly suitable for environments that may pose explosion risks due to sparks.

Moreover, when ATEX certification is necessary, hydraulic chain hoists can be a more cost-effective choice compared to electric ATEX hoists. They are also better suited for harsh conditions, which is why they are preferred in the offshore oil and gas production and maintenance sectors. We also offer hydraulic subsea hoists designed for underwater operation. All hydraulic hoists supplied by [Company Name] come from the highly reputable manufacturer, JDN (JD Neuhaus).
