Atex Manual Chain Blocks

Atex hand chain blocks are designed to be used in potentially explosive areas and are often referred to as spark proof/resistant, anti-sparking or explosion proof hand chain hoists. Please ensure that the hoist is suitable for your Atex area classification before order.

We offer a variety of atex certified chain blocks from the industry leading manufacturers, suitable for different atex areas or classifications. All of which can be supplied with a top hook suspension point (for hooking in to a beam clamp, lifting eye or trolley suspension eye, as well as a range with built-in push travel of geared travel trolleys that are often adopted where headroom is in short supply.

Atex hoists are often used offshore by the oil and gas industry though are also used in many other industries such as the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Spark resistant hand chain hoists (chain blocks / block and tackle) are available ‘Hook Suspended’ or with integrated low head room trolley. These hoists are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Yale EX spark resistant Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified lifting hoists are sometimes referred to as suitable for use in ‘explosion proof’ areas, or environments the ideal solution for your lifting application where only a spark resistant chain hoist is suitable.

Spark Protection Features available : Stainless steel load and hand chain, units completely corrosion resistant, bronze plated suspension and load hooks, solid bronze trolley wheels, rubber buffers and chain containers for increased spark resistance. Anti-tilt and anti-drop devices are standard. Ideal for applications with low ceiling and limited headroom.

This product is the same as Yalelift 360 SR, but on a Push Trolley. It is provided with the following for extra spark protection: stainless steel hand chain, units completely corrosion resistant, bronze plated suspension and load hooks, solid bronze trolley wheels rubber buffers chain containers.

This product is the YaleLift 360 Atex hand chain hoist with chain driven trolley provided with the following for extra spark Protection; stainless steel hand chain and zinc plated load chain. The hoists are completely corrosion resistant with bronze-plated suspension and load hooks and solid bronze trolley wheels. Yale has also fitted Rubber Buffers and the addition of a chain container. Please note that it is the responsibility of the user to identify the explosion proof classification required, NOT the hoist manufacturer or the supplier.
