Camlok "TCS" Coil Turning Hooks - Range from 500kg to 3000kg

Camlok TCS Coil Handling Hook Camlok TCS with Coil Camlok TCS with Coil 45 Degrees

The TCS coil turning hooks are specifically designed to pick up coils of steel or banding material which are laying flat.Once the turning hook is positioned and the crane hook is raised, the coil automatically
transfers from the horizontal position to the vertical position. This allows for easy transportation and also allows for loading onto machines or racking.

  • The TCS is a universal C-Hook.
  • Tipping device helps prevent accidental slipping of load.
  • Designed for lifting & turning coils, rolls and rings from the horizontal position.
  • Tipping feature allows the coil to be lifted or lowered whether the coil is flat or upright.
  • Designed and manufactured in the UK.

Applications

Designed for lifting and handling coils, rolls and rings etc in the horizontal position. Never try to lift a load longer than the length specified. Maximum working load limit must not be exceeded.

Restrictions

Never try to lift a load longer than the length specified. Maximum working load limit must not be exceeded.

Options

  • Available to suit a Other working loads, and models are available on request.
  • The tine length and usable height most commonly requested can be found in the table below.
  • Other working loads, and models are available on request.
  • Twin Arm C-hook - Available to suit a variety of loads

Step 1:
Place the hook into the coil centre as shown below with the back of the lifting shoe touching the inside of the coil and the lifting sling vertical. Slowly hoist up until the coil rises from the ground.

Step 2:
As the coil is slowly lifted, then traverse the crane backwards so that the coil pivots on the lower rear corner from the horizontal position in to the new vertical position.

Step 3: Continue hoisting and traversing the crane until the coil is vertical. Take special care when the pivot point is below the cog of the coil as the coil will topple back into the hook. If thin coils are lifted then place the coil down on its edge and move the coil to the rear of the hook for transporting
