Gebuwin "WW Series" Hand Operated Worm Gear Winch, Range from 250kg to 1500kg
Worm gear hand winch, with single or double drum. Optional painted/zinc plated finish and Atex rating.
WW / GHOW-4752
The Gebuwin range of hand driven worm gear winches are known for their robust construction. The hoisting capacities are calculated according to the first cable layer on the cable drum.
The worm gear winches are more safe than the spur gear winches, due to the fact that 50% of the braking is done by the friction loss in the transmission. Subsequently, the load on the pressure brake is greatly reduced. Due to the higher friction loss in the transmission, the worm gear winches have a lower performance efficiency than the spur gear winches.
All of the worm gear winches are equipped with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The winches have a static safety factor of minimum 4. The cranks can be adjusted in length and are recoil-free. All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings. From the 2000 kg capacity winch and up, the winches are fitted with a second drive shaft, which makes it possible to work with two speeds. Most parts are made from steel and have been either painted or zinc plated.
